Most people actually do not realize that anxiety can be pretty much one of the worst experiences of you your life. Anxiety and panic attacks especially, the amount of terror that you feel from anxiety can be absolutely crippling and ruin your life forever. The fact that millions of people have to deal with this problem so often makes me incredibly sad. I used to have to deal with it and I am no longer in that horrible mindset that I will never break free from a nightmare. Let me explain to you exactly how anxiety feels in a short story.
Lets say you are having a panic attack, you are in your car and in the middle of traffic that will last at least another 30 minutes. What can you do? Pretty much nothing, you have to sit there and ride out the panic attack. At first you will want to escape, you will want to leave your car and run away because that is your first instinct. Your heart will start beating so fast that you think that death is very close to you. You know that you cant leave your car so you panic even more. You think about how much worse your anxiety is going to get knowing that you cant escape. This will make it worse, now your on to level 2, hyperventilation is starting to begin and you feel like you cant breathe anymore. You start to soon feel like you are going to pass out from exhaustion. Then you try and talk yourself through it but it really does not seem to work.
After phase two is over you move on to phase three, which is when you finally realize how ridiculous you are after you just had a panic attack. The traffic starts moving and you begin to calm down a bit, You cant help but wonder why you started to freak out in the first place, but the rest of the day you cant shake that terrible feeling of impending doom and it carries on for a few days. After those few days are over you repeat the cycle and continue to have moments like that throughout your life.
So how bad can anxiety actually be, well I think I speak for everybody when I say that anxiety can be an absolute nightmare. Most people think that anxiety is just some bullshit excuse to not do things. Anxiety is a very real problem and it can ruin somebody's life.
